But Internet Explorer has the page looking very strange; I think the boxes are still usable from Internet Explorer, though.
To encounter the problem, use current versions of Netscape or Firefox.
This entire site is under construction.
I designed it for best view at a resolution of 800 by 600,
partly because my vision is rather poor.
I actually planned something ahead, and then I learned how to do it!
Sort of, anyway! See what you think.
Can you tell I'm tickled pink? hehe!
I learned how to stack the headings from the individual photo pages so they lie on top of the mostly-blank banner I prepared for that purpose.
You can see the results in the photo galleries.
First, I'm very sorry to say that if you use Internet Explorer, you can't see my mistake. All you see is a very dull and boring breaking of my superimpositions.
But if you have a recent version of Netscape or Firefox or Opera, you can see my delightful mistake.
This is my personal web site. I have - and plan - no other.
My mission here is to share with you my ways of seeing: whimsical, fun, and sometimes serious, but always with whimsy, for healthy perspective.
I enjoy writing tongue-in-cheek, and I leave it to you to discover what on this site is tongue-in-cheek.
Dogs in particular are a large part of my life. I hold the same values for them as I do for any other living creature.
I have a life-long passion for communication, whether with animals or humans.
I believe in paying attention to what life is all about: living to the best of our capabilities.
Not very long ago, I learned that web designers often use fake Latin text to put in while designing sites. That way, they don't have to type a whole bunch of text, and they can see how text to be put in later will behave on the page.
Well, I ask you, why bother with fake Latin? Why not real Latin: Pig Latin, for instahce?
IgPay atinLay eemsSay eryVay aturalNay otay eMay.
And then there's that other fake language I heard for the first time when I was in high school. It had three syllables to every one in English, and it had a lovely bubbly sound to it, and when finally I learned to speak it, I was utterly enchanted. It was so much fun to speak it, or would that be, to sing it? Almost.
But wrack my brains as I might, I can't remember how it works.
Believe it or not, for you youngsters (anybody under 60), I think it's called oogly-googly. Does anybody know what it is, or how to speak it? If you do, please leave me a comment on the feedback page.
Or, if you prefer, you may
but to make sure you reach me, send it in plain text without any attachments.
Thanks!
The Guestbook is under construction, so at the moment, it's very simple and limited.
Dear All,
As you will notice if you've been here before, I am beginning a new stage in layout.
This will be very time-consuming, though I'm beginning to get the hang of part of it. This page may change drastically in appearance from one moment to the next, and the same may be true of the other main pages, for some time to come.
Remember, though, this site isn't officially open! If you're here, it's by my personal invitation, or because I asked for help!
The layout is very experimental!
I hope you have a good time exploring here anyway!
I validate all pages with W3C before putting them up, so your browsers should not break!
