[cku100529op-d4.jpg] Kumbi's readings are rather high.

First day on increased dose

On Monday, 24 May, I raised Kumbi's Novolin dose from 6.0 to 6.25 units. By Friday, I could see I wanted to bring him back up to 6.5 units, so I did that Saturday morning, 29 May.

I need to keep Kumbi on this same dose for a week before I can assess it properly. It takes from a few days to a week, or even two weeks, before the full effects of a dose change become evident.

Probably, I won't do another curve for a month or so, but use daily spot checks to keep an eye on Kumbi's glucose levels.

Updates will follow. Of course!

CLAIMER: Content here results from my personal experience, as instructed by my fabulous veterinarians and veterinary technicians, and also, as instructed by Kumbi. Even Kwali gets a word in edgewise. We use the Lip-Stick. There are other locations you can prick for blood; I do not myself use them, but there are web resources that show them.
