Water plotted with glucose at nadir

It's easy to monitor Kumbi's water consumption

Kumbi drinks from a two-liter measuring cup, which I refresh each evening. All I have to do to measure his consumption is to check the level in his water bowl.

Kumbi also gets an additional 500 ml daily in his kibble, so that can be added to the measurement.

Here, I've plotted the water he drinks from his water bowl against his glucose levels at 15:00 (3 p.m.) daily. That is an assumed time when Kumbi is at his lowest glucose level for the day; however, he can go lower up until his supper-time at 6:30 p.m. All the same, to keep measurements reasonably consistent, I've charted his levels as though his nadir (lowest glucose level) is at 3 p.m.

CLAIMER: Content here results from my personal experience, as instructed by my fabulous veterinarians and veterinary technicians, and also, as instructed by Kumbi. Even Kwali gets a word in edgewise. We use the Lip-Stick. There are other locations you can prick for blood; I do not myself use them, but there are web resources that show them.
