[cku100512cdop-bgs212.jpg] Kumbi settles well with no kibble-snacks
Today, 12 May 2010, is the first day in a very long time that I omitted giving Kumbi kibble in his after-walk treats, and in his afternoon snack at three, which supposedly helped keep him from dropping too far in glucose levels as a result of taking a walk at the supposed time the insulin is working hardest.
Actually, Kumbi's insulin-peak (his lowest BG of the day) varies from around three in the afternoon to shortly before his supper, and today, his nadir, or trough - lowest BG for the day, assuming I caught it - was indeed about 6:30 p.m. He could have gone lower, and I might have missed that, but I doubt he went much lower.
It looks as though I solved the mystery of why Kumbi's BGs were soaring from about five in the afternoon, ever since he began with the Chinese herbs for his liver, on 1 April, 2010.
Today's chart is dramatically different, from three in the afternoon through his after-supper food spike, from those I've posted here since 1 April 2010.So, I can't be sure I found the answer to the soarings, but it does look very likely!
Compare with yesterday's typical soarings, as I fed a small kibble-snack at 3 p.m.
Updates will follow - somewhere, sometime!
